Info Industry Job Moves and Awards

The charity Stonewall named Sage one of the U.K.’s most LGBTQ+-inclusive employers, giving the company a Gold Award.

Malcolm “Hawk” Hawkins is the new deputy director of operations for the U.S. Copyright Office. He was previously chief of the administrative services division.

EBSCO Industries, Inc. appointed Annie Callanan as CEO of EBSCO Information Services, replacing Tim Collins as of Aug. 5, 2024. Callanan was previously CEO of Taylor & Francis.

Wiley introduced new leadership too, naming Matthew Kissner president and CEO, following a successful interim period. He has been with Wiley in various roles for more than 20 years.

The American Chemical Society (ACS) awarded Frances H. Arnold its highest honor, the Priestley Medal, for her distinguished service to the chemistry field. Arnold is director of the Donna and Benjamin M. Rosen Bioengineering Center at Caltech, among other positions.

eLife shared the 10 winners and four runners-up of the 2024 Ben Barres Spotlight Awards, which recognize researchers from traditionally underrepresented groups in biology and medicine and who work in countries with limited research funding.
