IMLS Releases Tools for Analyzing Public Library Data
IMLS (Institute of Museum and Library Services) published the data for its “FY 2014 Public Libraries Survey” along with online visualizations and tools for analyzing it. The survey, a national census of public libraries in the U.S., collects data from about 9,000 library systems to show the statuses of and trends in these organizations, including for library visits, circulation, collection size, and operating revenues and expenditures. This edition of the survey added the number of Wi-Fi sessions libraries provide annually.
