IFLA Asks for Translation Volunteers

Via its email list, IFLA issued a Call for Volunteers to Translate the IFLA/UNESCO Multicultural Library Manifesto Toolkit. It states the following:

Dear colleagues,

The Library Services to Multicultural Populations Section is seeking volunteers to help translate the IFLA/UNESCO Multicultural Library Manifesto Toolkit into additional languages for publication in the IFLA repository.

The Toolkit has already been translated into Chinese, Persian, Arabic, Russian, Japanese, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. To further support global access, we invite colleagues who are able to translate the Toolkit into other languages to express their interest.

Volunteers will receive the official English version and simple formatting guidelines, and all completed translations will be acknowledged and made publicly available through the IFLA repository.

The Toolkit is available here: https://www.ifla.org/ifla-unesco-multicultural-library-manifesto-toolkit/

If you are able to contribute, please contact us at ifla.mcultp@gmail.com.

Best regards,

Library Services to Multicultural Populations Section
