IEEE Acquires GlobalSpec
IEEE acquired the GlobalSpec news, data, and analytics platform, including its Engineering360 brand, from IHS. It is now a for-profit subsidiary of IEEE and was renamed IEEE GlobalSpec, Inc. This transaction supplements IEEE’s offerings for engineers, particularly in the area of research analytics. GlobalSpec is a multimedia platform composed of editorial and technical content for industry-based engineers, technical professionals, manufacturers, distributors, and service providers who do technical research, product design, and purchasing.For more information, read the press release.
