HeinOnline Gives Its Interface a Sleeker Design
HeinOnline did a full redesign of its welcome page. “For years, HeinOnline has been celebrated for its extensive historical content and vast collection of over 3,400 multidisciplinary journals. But we also heard your feedback—our interface needed a refresh,” the press release states. “The new HeinOnline welcome page introduces a sleek, modern design that enhances usability while preserving the trusted functionality and comprehensive archival resources that researchers rely on.”The new design offers enhanced browsing options, including browsing by subject, filtering by database type, and searching for a database by name; a reimagined A–Z database list; a favorites panel of the user’s go-to databases; and more. The overall HeinOnline interface also got a refresh, with updated fonts for readability, enhanced color contrast, and keyboard-friendly navigation options.
