GetFTR Leverages AI to Verify Content Entitlements Before Full-Text Delivery

GetFTR “launched a new capability that allows AI-powered research tools and agents to check content entitlements in real time and generate ‘smart links’ to send users to authoritative full text,” the organization reports. “The new capability uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open emerging standard that enables AI tools to securely connect to trusted external services. Through GetFTR’s MCP server, AI applications can now ask a simple question in real time: does this user have access to this content?—and route them accordingly.”
