GetFTR Adds an Open Access Indicator Button to Its Integrated Services and Browser Extension

GetFTR announced the following:

[W]e are expanding our services for open access publishers.

Researchers tell us that they can find it hard to identify open access content in their discovery tools and may be missing out on articles they are entitled to read. GetFTR employs multiple sources to verify user entitlements and has for some time now included all open access content registered at Crossref. This means that open access publishers can automatically enjoy increased discoverability, as their content is signposted as open access right at the point of discovery. …

Researchers will see the GetFTR indicator, which indicates access to open access content, in various research and discovery tools integrated with GetFTR, e.g. ReadCube, APA PsycInfo, Dimensions, and SciFinder.

For those using the GetFTR Browser Extension, the button will also appear on popular platforms such as PubMed, Google Scholar, Google, Web of Science, and Scopus, as well as library discovery services and more.

For more information, read the news item.
