GPO Offers Electronic Code of Federal Regulations in XML Format

The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) and the National Archives and Records Administration’s Office of the Federal Register (OFR) made all of the titles in the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (e-CFR) available in XML format to facilitate one-click bulk data download from the GPO’s Federal Digital System (FDsys).

OFR gives GPO the regularly updated e-CFR files for conversion to XML, which allows third parties to reuse and repurpose the data for mobile web applications, data mashups, and other tools.

For more information, read the press release.
