Factiva Select Delivers Filtered XML Content
Factiva (http://www.factiva.com) has announced the launch of Factiva Select, a flexible product available through Factiva Integration, a suite of tools that can be used to integrate Factiva's news and business information into intranets, portals, and mobile devices. Factiva Select is a filtered XML content feed that allows enterprise customers to readily integrate Factiva's global content into any number of end-user applications or computing environments. In addition, customers can commingle up to 90 days of Factiva content with third-party and internal content to build a searchable, universally indexed content collection. Susan Feldman, director of document and content technologies at IDC, said: "By collecting and organizing disparate systems into a seamless interface, enterprises can save research time with the ability to launch a single search that reaches all information repositories and make critical decisions based on all the data available to them. In addition, XML-tagged content can be delivered to the appropriate user in any format to suit any device being used for access, whether it is the desktop or even a wireless device." Factiva Consulting, a team of technical and editorial experts, is available on a contract basis to customers who prefer custom implementations of Factiva products, including Factiva Select.
