FIZ Karlsruhe Translates Global Patents Into English

FIZ Karlsruhe—Liebniz Institute for Information Infrastructure and SCIPAT teamed up to offer translations of patent documents to FIZ AutoDoc customers. Initial patent applications are typically published only in the language they’re written in, and relying on machine translations could result in misinterpretations. SCIPAT promises high-quality, human translations for FIZ AutoDoc users, who can request entire documents or excerpts and get results in 3 days. Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Thai, and Vietnamese are the current languages that can be translated into English, with other languages available on request.

For more information, read the press release.
