FAST Offers Mobile Search Service
Fast Search & Transfer (FAST; http://www.fastsearch.com) unveiled FAST mSearch and claimed that it is the industry's first mobile search solution to collectively integrate content such as music, games, ringtones, and images with highly relevant content from the mobile Web, "providing users with an optimized and more personal search experience on their mobile devices." In addition, FAST mSearch for the Enterprise provides authorized mobile access to enterprise intranets, business systems, and other relevant enterprise content that is available through enterprise mobile portals. It also delivers content from the entire mobile Web.FAST mSearch is the latest Search Derivative Application (SDA) to leverage the FAST Enterprise Search Platform (FAST ESP). FAST mSearch supports multiple mobile business models, including increasing traffic through location-based services, increasing commerce revenue through personalized downloads, and increasing advertising revenue through targeted advertising.
