FAST Launches eCommerce Application

Fast Search & Transfer (FAST; http://www.fastsearch.com) has announced FAST ImPulse, an enterprise search, navigation, and merchandising software solution for business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce applications. FAST ImPulse is an easy-to-deploy, out-of-the-box solution based on FAST's Enterprise Search Platform (FAST ESP). The company says that by using the FAST ImPulse Dynamic Merchandising features, business managers can create promotions, deliver a superior shopping experience for buyers, and increase customer loyalty to their sites.

The search and navigation features of FAST ImPulse include advanced product search, including sophisticated linguistics analysis; flexible, multidimensional navigation that allows buyers to rapidly find what they are looking for; personalized merchandising to provide individually relevant promotions; and dynamic, location-sensitive promotions. Extensive reporting and real-time analytics give business managers and executives critical insights into what people are doing and not doing—business managers can then quickly and easily "tune" the system.
