Ex Libris Developer Network Fosters Experimentation

Ex Libris Group launched the Ex Libris Developer Network, which gives developers and IT professionals an open environment to experiment with applications and extensions to Ex Libris solutions. The network is available to anyone, not just Ex Libris’ customers, and is a response to feedback from Ex Libris’ existing developer community.

Sections on the network’s website include Docs (API documentation and technical guides), Tech Blog (advice, guidance, and best practices from Ex Libris development team members), Code & Apps (links to complete code projects), Forum (for sharing ideas, questions, and answers about Ex Libris APIs), and Dashboard (a tool for managing projects and viewing analytics).

“Harnessing the open interfaces of Alma, Primo, and other Ex Libris solutions, a library can integrate its systems with other campus systems—thereby delivering essential services to students and faculty and demonstrating the library’s value to the institution it serves,” says Ex Libris president and CEO Matti Shem Tov.
