Energy Database Available via Flat-Rate Web Access

FIZ Karlsruhe has launched the energy database ENTEC on the Web at flat-rate pricing. Annual subscriptions are 535 EUR (about $563) for enterprises, 500 EUR (about $526) for universities and colleges. ENTEC is jointly produced by FIZ Karlsruhe and FIZ Technik. ENTEC has approximately 650,000 citations from scientific publications on energy technology.

ENTEC contains information on fossil sources of energy, nuclear energy, energy fusion, and renewable energy sources. Further subjects include research and application matters as well as energy policy and energy management.

Full-text publications can be ordered online, either through the direct ordering service FIZ Autodoc (http://www.fiz-karlsruhe.de/autodoc) or through Getinfo (http://www.getinfo-doc.de), a Web service for full-text supply of sci-tech literature. Getinfo is a joint-venture of FIZ Karlsruhe and Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) Hannover.

ENTEC can be accessed via http://entec.fiz-karlsruhe.de or through the FIZ Karlsruhe home page (http://www.fiz-karlsruhe.de). A free demo database providing limited search results is also available. ENTEC is also available for searching via the STN International service.
