Elsevier Purchases the Social Science Research Network
Elsevier acquired the Social Science Research Network (SSRN), a scholarly research preprint repository and online community. The publisher will develop SSRN alongside Mendeley, allowing it to benefit from Mendeley’s technology platform, scholarly collaboration network, reference manager, and additional personal library management tools. Furthermore, SSRN members will be able to access Mendeley’s professional profile capabilities, person-to-person networking, and following capabilities. Elsevier and Mendeley will use SSRN to accelerate their social community strategy, access leading content, and deepen author relationships.For more information, read the press release.
