EBSCO Publishing Gains UPI Content

United Press International (http://www.upi.com) announced an agreement to add UPI content into EBSCO's online databases. EBSCO Publishing (http://www.ebsco.com) subscribers will have access to content from UPI's English, Spanish, and Arabia 2000 products and photos from UPI's Newspictures service.

UPI's Newspictures photo service produces worldwide news, entertainment, sports, and lifestyle images, with a focus on news-making personalities. As part of the agreement, EBSCO Publishing will receive the current Newspictures feed as well as a digital archive of more than 100,000 of UPI's images from the mid-1990s to today.

Original English content includes UPI Perspectives, articles that analyze and comment on current issues, and UPI NewsTrack, news briefings and stories of the day. Spanish additions include content from the UPI LatAm News Service and the UPI Chilean News Service. UPI's Arabia 2000 product is a collection of content contributed by the national news agencies of the Middle East. EBSCO will integrate English language content from several of UPI's agency partners, including the Iranian News Agency, Saudi Press Agency, and Yemen News Agency.
