According to the press release, “The addition of these Hubs continues our efforts to help build local community and capacity, and further efforts to build an on-ramp to DPLA participation for every cultural heritage institution in the United States and its territories.”Materials from Illinois will include documentation of the state’s coal mining and rural healthcare, as well as World War II photographs. Michigan will share history of Detroit, as well as Civil War diaries, historically significant American cookbooks, and other items.
