Chinese Company Buys Opera Browser

A Chinese consortium led by Golden Brick Silk Road acquired the Opera browser for $600 million. The purchase, which should close by the end of 2016, includes the browser’s mobile and desktop versions, performance and privacy apps, and a stake in a Chinese joint venture. It excludes Opera’s advertising, games, and television units.
