Chicago Book-Wrapped Initiative Offers Free Access to Special Digital Collections

Chicago Public Library (CPL) and Chicago mayor Brandon Johnson partnered with OverDrive to develop Chicago Book-Wrapped, an initiative to provide immediate ebook and audiobook access—with no wait times and no library card requirements—to residents and visitors in the city. They can read up to three titles from the e-collection that are each available for 7 days. These limited-time, pop-up collections will align with city events such as NASCAR and the Chicago Architecture Biennial. The first collection is tied to the Democratic National Convention and runs Aug. 14–27.

For more information, read the press release.
