CABI Updates CAB Thesaurus With New Content

CABI (Centre for Agriculture and Biosciences International) introduced the 2017 edition of the CAB Thesaurus, which is the world’s largest source of terminology for the applied life sciences for academic, corporate, and government librarians. It now features a controlled vocabulary resource with nearly 2.7 million descriptive terms, more than 166,000 distinct concepts, and more than 132,000 synonyms. These are translated from English into 10 European languages. More updates include the addition of another 800 taxonomic names of invasive plants and 600 medical terms (with a focus on neoplasms, medicinal drugs, and metabolic markers related to disease).
