Adam Matthew Rolls Out East India Company Archive

Adam Matthew introduced East India Company, its new collection of primary sources from the British Library. It covers the company’s entire history, including early trade associations with Japan and Indonesia, its establishment by Queen Elizabeth I, its tea trade with China, and the Indian independence movement of 1947. Module 1: Trade, Governance and Empire, 1600-1947 is now available. Module II will publish in 2018, and Module III, the final part, will publish in 2019.
