AccuWeather.com Partners With Rhythm NewMedia on Ad-Supported Mobile Video

AccuWeather.com (www.accuweather.com) and Rhythm NewMedia announced that AccuWeather.com forecast videos are now included in Rhythm’s ad-supported mobile content. Local forecasts for more than 100 cities, regional forecasts, national forecasts, and breaking severe weather videos will now be available for mobile video ads sold by Rhythm NewMedia. AccuWeather forecasting videos will be offered in 2-minute segments with other free video content for consumers in exchange for watching a short preroll or postroll video ad.

Rhythm delivers a targeted and personalized video ad before the AccuWeather video content based on demographic data collected. Rhythm sells and serves video ads; it also uses its inline brand awareness research system to measure customer satisfaction and ad effectiveness. Advertisers can also specify frequency caps to help prevent waste, in addition to targeting by demographic data.

Since weather is one of the hottest categories of content on the mobile web, AccuWeather is now reaching out to the widest possible audience through advertising-supported content, according to David Mitchell, director of wireless for AccuWeather.
