ACS Voices Its Approval of the March for Science

The American Chemical Society (ACS) declared its support for the March for Science (April 22, 2017) based on the following conditions:
  • That the March adhere strictly to its established and publicly posted mission and principles, which closely mirror ACS’ own vision, mission and goals
  • That the March continues to be a nonpartisan celebration of science focused on its many positive contributions toward improving the human condition and addressing the world’s most pressing challenges

The march coincides with ACS’s annual Chemists Celebrate Earth Day (CCED) event, “a nationwide celebration of the positive impact that chemistry has had on society and the environment.”

For more information, read the press release.
