Gale Licenses Reference Titles to Books24x7

Gale Group has announced that two of its business reference titles have been licensed to Books24x7, a developer of online Referenceware for IT and business professionals. Books24x7, a subsidiary of SkillSoft Corp., has included the full texts of both the Encyclopedia of Management and Encyclopedia of Business into its BusinessPro library. As a result of the agreement, BusinessPro subscribers can now access these publications in their entirety or can search for specific information using Books24x7's multi-tier search engine.

Gale's Encyclopedia of Business covers a wide range of issues, including business ethics, accounting, finance, public relations, and marketing, among others. The reference work encompasses more than 700 signed articles of up to 6,000 words each. The Encyclopedia of Management covers 350 topics related to management theories and applications, including planning, diversification strategies, performance measurement, and supply-chain management, among others. The content was written by academics and business professionals with expertise in their specific areas.

BusinessPro offers unabridged content from more than 725 book titles and research reports. Subscribers have unlimited access to the entire collection, including the 10 to 20 new titles added each week.

LexisNexis Enhances Scope of International Content

LexisNexis has announced recent international content enhancements that expand its roster of non-U.S., in-country news and analysis providers. Additions include international market analyses, business and country reports, more than 5 dozen business and general news outlets throughout Europe, Canada, Israel, Australia, and New Zealand; five services that supply non-U.S. corporate press releases, news, and financial information; and nearly 70 international trade publications that cover a wide range of industries.

Overseas market analyses and country reports are now available via the LexisNexis services from Business Monitor International, World Market Research Centres, and the Institute of Management and Administration's China Business Insider. LexisNexis has also added leading daily and weekly general news and business publications and wire services in France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, the U.K., Israel, Australia, and New Zealand. New Canadian coverage includes nearly a dozen regional and metro dailies, as well as Press News, Ltd., a multimedia wire service.

Four corporate news services—PRLine, CompanyNews,, and Japan Corporate News Network—supply LexisNexis subscribers with Japanese and European company information in English, French, Dutch, Spanish, and Italian. In addition, Gale Research, Inc.'s World Market Share Reporter provides rankings of companies, products, and services in 360 locations for a total of 1,670 entries. JSTOR Releases Language & Literature Collection

JSTOR has announced the release of the Language & Literature Collection, a compendium of 47 journal titles that span the literary cultures of many nations. The Language & Literature Collection adds 1.4 million new pages to JSTOR's electronic archive of scholarly journals, bringing the total number of pages to more than 11 million.

Developed in conjunction with the Modern Language Association through a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Language & Literature Collection offers insight into linguistics; comparative literature; and literary history, theory, analysis, and scholarship. It also includes core journals in the newer fields of literary criticism that have emerged over the past 30 years. In addition to English, the Language & Literature Collection includes articles in languages such as Arabic, Italian, and Russian.

The collection expands upon 13 language and literature titles that are already available to JSTOR participants through the Arts & Sciences I Collection; 34 of the titles are completely new to the JSTOR archive.
