Baconís to Monitor Blog Content
Bacon's Information, Inc., the media-monitoring company, will introduce new blog content in MediaSource's Premium Research module and will track blog coverage in the Monitoring module to help clients determine the possible impact on business decisions and company reputations. Bacon's said it will focus on blogs run by reputable, credible professionals; the initial blogs will be by active journalists.
MediaSource allows public relations professionals to efficiently execute all aspects of the media relations function, including media contact management, press material distribution, campaign monitoring, and evaluation. Observer AB, a media and business intelligence service provider based in Sweden, owns Bacon's.

Factiva to Deploy FAST Data Search
Fast Search & Transfer ASA (FAST) announced that Factiva, a Dow Jones & Reuters Company, has signed an agreement to deploy FAST Data Search 360 across multiple applications throughout its organization. The FAST agreement with Factiva is based on software license, maintenance fees, and professional services.
Factiva offers a single content solution, which includes Dow Jones and Reuters newswires and The Wall Street Journal, with multiple language interfaces and multilingual content covering nearly 9,000 sources.
