Dataset Provides Organizational Metadata for Publishers
DataSalon introduced OrgRef, a free, open dataset that extracts structured information about academic and research organizations from open resources such as Wikipedia. Anyone can download and use the dataset under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported license.
Innovative Announces New and Updated Polaris Services
Innovative's Polaris Leap and Polaris ILS 5.0 are now available for beta testing, with an official launch scheduled for October. Baltimore County Public Library (BCPL) in Maryland and the Central Library Consortium (CLC) in Ohio will serve as beta testers and provide feedback.
