askSam Releases New Web Publisher

askSam Systems has released version 6 of the askSam Web Publisher, which makes it easy to publish large amounts of information on the Internet with no knowledge of HTML. Web Publisher lets users import existing documents and publish this information in a searchable, hypertext-linked database. Users can take large Microsoft Word documents or PDF files (such as government reports or corporate policy manuals) and break them into multiple pieces, making them easier to search and navigate online. Users are able to search and find specific sections of the document and are not forced to load and page through large files.

Additionally, the askSam Web Publisher lets users create searchable collections of documents. askSam Systems has prepared some useful examples including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the Bible, selected speeches from the 2004 political conventions, and more.

Version 6 of Web Publisher is fully compatible with askSam 6 and allows users to publish askSam 6 databases on the Web. The Web Publisher runs on all CGI-compliant Windows Web servers (such as Microsoft Internet Information Server and Apache) and costs $1,495 per server. For more information or to try the free 30-day trial version, go to http://www.asksam.com.
