Thomson Releases New Version of ISI Web of Knowledge

The Thomson Corp. has announced the release of the new version 3 of ISI Web of Knowledge. The enhanced solution, resulting from 2 years of design in close collaboration with librarians and researchers, offers new personalization, better search tools, a cleaner and more intuitive interface, and a new journal analysis tool. It also has increased linking power, with customized links to hundreds of new publishers.

Web of Science has been upgraded to version 7 and offers many new navigational aids. Users can now create citation alerts with a single button click. A new tool lets users analyze and refine results by author, publication year, journal subject category, institutions, language, or source title.

From its inception, ISI Web of Knowledge has offered seamless navigation to content via CrossSearch. New customer-driven functionality in CrossSearch enables a more intuitive accessibility of specific products, saved search histories, the multidisciplinary information resources within the platform, and external collections. It also provides new linking capabilities, including DOI-based linking to hundreds of publishers and support for multiple OPAC links. For more information, visit http://www.thomsonisi.com.
