Thomson Elite Acquires Expert Ease

Thomson Elite (http://www.elite.com), a provider of business software to legal and professional services firms and a business within The Thomson Corp., announced it has purchased Expert Ease, a provider of productivity software and technologies for law firms. Expert Ease's operations will be integrated into Thomson Elite. Additionally, Expert Ease president Ely Razin will remain with the business and will focus on the development of next-generation features for West km, the knowledge management service from Thomson Elite. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

DealProof, the flagship product from Expert Ease, helps legal professionals draft and review legal documents, including both deal documents and litigation documents. DealProof automatically proofreads and summarizes legal documents and links them to external search engines such as Westlaw.
