The Knight Foundation Backs 22 New Projects

The Knight Foundation’s Knight Prototype Fund granted its latest round of support to 22 projects from institutions such as nonprofits, universities, libraries, media outlets, and the government. They receive $35,000 in funding and become part of a 6-month process that includes a course in human-centered design and time to develop their projects. Then they share their accomplishments at a demo day, and some of the projects may receive additional Knight Foundation funding.

Applications for the next round of funding can be submitted on prototypefund.org. The deadline is Aug. 17.
