SpringerLink Adds Rightslink Licensing

STM book publisher Springer Science+Business Media (http://www.springer.com) is now using Rightslink from the Copyright Clearance Center (CCC; http://www.copyright.com) as its automated, online permissions licensing solution for the newly launched SpringerLink online platform (http://www.springerlink.com). Customers can secure permissions to reuse digital content directly from SpringerLink. Springer processes thousands of permission requests each month for its journals and will now utilize Rightslink to automate and streamline this business. Rightslink is designed to reduce the administrative burden while improving permissions turn-around times.

Springer recently launched the final version of SpringerLink, which launched in beta earlier this summer. The new platform integrates Springer content— more than 11,000 e-books, millions of articles from Springer's peer-reviewed journals, as well as e-reference works— in one single user interface.Sources:Copyright Clearance Center and Springer
