Reuters to Offer Pluck’s BlogBurst Service

Reuters (http://www.reuters.com) and Pluck Corp. (http://www.pluck.com) announced that the companies have formed a strategic alliance to syndicate third-party blog content as part of Reuters news and information service. Reuters will now offer Pluck's BlogBurst blog syndication service to its media partners worldwide. Reuters also invested in the privately held Pluck. BlogBurst supplies content from more than 2,800 blogs to major news outlets including The Washington Post, Gannett News, The San Francisco Chronicle, etc.

Reuters Media president Chris Ahearn said the alliance is "part of Reuters continuing strategy to embrace new digital platforms, including user-generated and moderated content as well as community tools, to deliver next-generation news and information."

BlogBurst syndicated blogs are already being integrated into Reuters.com, and, in the coming weeks, BlogBurst will be offered to thousands of media partners worldwide that use Reuters content as part of Reuters' news services. Bloggers and publishers interested in the BlogBurst service can find out more at http://www.BlogBurst.com.
