Nature Publishing Group Ranks Rising Stars in Research

Nature Publishing Group (NPG) produced the Nature Index’s 2016 Rising Stars supplement, which records which countries and institutions show the most significant growth in high-quality research publications. The Nature Index tracks research from 8,000-plus institutions around the world. In the 2016 supplement, Chinese institutions account for 40 of the top 100 highest performers. The U.S. has 11 of the top 100 spots and the U.K. has nine.
