LexisNexis Launches Advanced Government Solutions

LexisNexis U.S. (http://www.lexisnexis.com) announced the launch of LexisNexis Advanced Government Solutions, which is designed to enable customers across federal, state, and local government to transform data into mission-critical decisions. LexisNexis and parent company Reed Elsevier, Inc. demonstrated their commitment to the government market through the strategic acquisition of Seisint in 2004, which enabled the company to enhance its solutions offering by providing data fusion and linking technology that can be deployed for on-premise use within the government enterprise. In addition, in 2003, LexisNexis Special Services was created as a U.S.-owned subsidiary of Reed Elsevier, Inc. for the specific purpose of delivering solutions to customers with classified missions. In recent months, LexisNexis Special Services has strengthened its management team through the addition of executives with experience in the federal government market. The company said that its customers in the government market are driving the demand for more comprehensive and robust solutions.

As part of the new offering, LexisNexis will deliver three distinct solution sets:

  • Intelligence Analysis Solutions enables intelligence analysts to anticipate and detect threats to national security by pinpointing critical information contained within massive volumes of data.
  • Investigative Solutions enables investigators to effectively locate suspects, find missing children, and solve cases quicker by providing instant access to critical information that would normally take days to gather using traditional investigative methods.
  • Screening and Identity Verification Solutions enables government agencies to secure and protect access to critical systems and facilities and mitigate the problems associated with entitlements fraud and improper payments.

LexisNexis Advanced Government Solutions can be delivered via secure access through the Web or deployed within the government enterprise for integration with internal systems and agency-specific data sets. These solutions can be tailored to support the unique missions of government professionals in defense and intelligence, homeland security, law enforcement, revenue, health and human services, and regulatory agencies. LexisNexis Advanced Government Solutions combines LexisNexis core capabilities in a holistic framework called the Information Decisioning Chain to provide comprehensive solutions that serve the specific needs of analysts, investigators, and government executives.
