LexisNexis, Dow Jones Alliance Brings Current News to Law Firms
LexisNexis (www.lexisnexis.com) announced an alliance with Dow Jones & Co. (www.dowjones.com) to provide current news to law firms. LexisNexis Continuous Alerts, powered by Factiva from Dow Jones, offers legal professionals continuously updated news, such as mergers and acquisitions, Initial Public Offerings, national litigation, and other vital information.Continuous Alerts is the result of a development alliance between LexisNexis and Dow Jones to create a custom application for the legal market. Users link to the application from a new Continuous Alerts subtab on the alert tab of lexis.com. From there, they are taken to a co-branded site to set up and manage their searches. Once the search is created, new results will be emailed to users within minutes of the results being published on Dow Jones' Factiva product. Other benefits of the service include the following: - BlackBerry compatibility so attorneys can receive alerts on the move
- Access to thousands of sources, including The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires
- Filtering abilities to avoid receiving recurring or republished information
- High, medium, and low relevancy settings can be established by the user
