Infotrieve Signs Two STM Aggregators, 10 Publishers
Infotrieve, a document delivery provider to the scientific, technical, and medical (STM) communities, announced that it has signed content agreements with BioOne and Allen Press, both major STM content aggregators. The company also announced agreements with 10 new STM publishers, increasing the pool of articles available electronically to over 2 million.BioOne collects full-text articles published in 55 journals that are produced by 44 professional societies. These journals are focused primarily in fields of biological, ecological, and environmental sciences. The company has produced 340 volumes of the journals, featuring articles from more than 42,000 authors. BioOne was developed by the American Institute of Biological Sciences, SPARC (the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition), the University of Kansas, the Greater Western Library Alliance, and Allen Press. Allen Press, based in Lawrence, Kansas, is a provider of printing and publishing services to publishers in the STM arena. The company aggregates content from more than 300 journals. The 10 new publishers that are teaming up with Infotrieve are the American Physiological Society, the American Society for Investigative Pathology, BMJ Publishing Group, The British Psychological Society, The Company of Biologists, IEE, The New England Journal of Medicine, Pharmaceutical Press, Society for Neuroscience, and Urban & Fischer.
