Google Plans to Acquire Data Scientist Platform

According to TechCrunch, Google is acquiring Kaggle, “a platform that hosts data science and machine learning competitions. Details about the transaction remain somewhat vague,” and neither company would confirm the acquisition. This large and active community for data scientists recently partnered with Google to host a competition for classifying YouTube videos.
