Google Health Now Available in Public Beta

Google made its Google Health ( publicly available in beta. It offers users a safe and secure way to collect, store, and manage their medical records and health information online. The company also announced that Walgreens, Quest Diagnostics, and Longs Drugs—among others—are flagship partners in the program. A number of third-party personal health services are also integrated (see the available list at

The company says it put strong privacy policies in place to keep users’ information safe and private. Google Health is a free service that will not carry advertisements. Google Health will provide content about health issues, as well. Those interested in using Google Health must have an account for one of Google’s free services, such as Gmail.
