GlobalSpec Now Includes Knovel Reference Content

Knovel Corp. ( has announced a partnership with GlobalSpec ( Knovel's collection of interactive reference books is now indexed within The Engineering Web, GlobalSpec's vertical search engine. The partnership lets Knovel extend its content reach to the millions of engineers and technical professionals who visit GlobalSpec each month.

GlobalSpec is a specialized search engine for the engineering community. Engineers and technical buyers regularly use GlobalSpec's trademarked search technology, SpecSearch, to search, by specification, more than 85 million parts in 1.2 million product families from more than 15,000 supplier catalogs. GlobalSpec also provides access to The Engineering Web—more than 200 million pages of highly organized, filtered technical content including products, services, standards, patents, materials properties, designs, application notes, and proprietary content unavailable on other search engines. GlobalSpec also indexes content from John Wiley & Sons and IEEE.

Knovel integrates more than 700 references from more than 30 publishers into a virtual library embedded with analysis software. Knovel's intuitive platform helps researchers quickly locate and analyze data and export the results.
