Factiva and ProQuest Expand Channel Partnership

Factiva (http://www.factiva.com), a Dow Jones and Reuters Company, and ProQuest Information and Learning (http://www.il.proquest.com) announced that they have expanded their existing partnership. ProQuest will now serve as channel partner for Factiva.com in the corporate and government sectors of Latin America. ProQuest Information and Learning, a division of ProQuest Co., is an electronic publisher of content for libraries and educational institutions worldwide and is the exclusive distributor of Factiva content for the academic market.

Factiva.com provides a single point of access to an archive of news and business information not available on the free Web. Designed to help users find relevant information faster, the service also offers multiple ways to search, including its new interface, Factiva Search 2.0, currently in beta. Factiva's collection of more than 10,000 premium sources includes the exclusive combination of The Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, Dow Jones and Reuters news wires, and the Associated Press. Additionally, Factiva provides nearly 200 sources in Spanish and 50 in Portuguese.

Since 1997, ProQuest Information and Learning has partnered with Factiva to reach academic and public libraries. Last year, the collaboration expanded to include global distribution of Factiva.com for the academic market, including for-profit and distance-learning institutions, and public libraries. Now, the relationship expands further to include distribution to corporate and government sectors in Latin America.
