EBSCO Publishing’s ExPub Releases R2 For Chemical Registrations

Companies impacted by the European Union’s Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) Regulations now have a valuable tool in R2 (REACH Registrations) from Expert Publishing (ExPub), a division of EBSCO Publishing. R2 provides integrated access to the Official ECHA REACH Registration Database leveraging the EXPERTIndex to provide the most relevant search results.

R2 contains key information submitted by companies on more than 7,600 unique substances including CAS number and other identifiers, composition, classification and labeling, physical/chemical properties, toxicological properties, and eco-toxicological properties. R2 will be updated as the ECHA updates it website.

ExPub’s proprietary search engine allows users to simultaneously search the REACH Registrations and millions of other documents found in more than 140 collections including the Hazardous Substances Data Bank (HSDB), the Registry of Toxic Effects of Chemical Substances (RTECS), the Merck Index, the complete set of the IARC Monographs, the 12th Report on Carcinogens, the EPA’s Integrated Risk Information Systems, and MSDS from more than 27,000 different vendors. And with its 2.4 million terms and synonyms, the EXPERTIndex produces search results that are 100% relevant.

ExPub is the premier provider of up-to-date, decision-support chemical information for the global environmental health and safety community. ExPub databases provide access to millions of documents containing comprehensive human and/or environmental hazard data needed to manage the impact of chemicals in the workplace or on the environment. ExPub provides more than 140 databases (the EXPERTIndex) containing millions of documents from government and licensed sources covering more than 400,000 unique substances and accessible via 2.4 million chemical names and synonyms. Databases include ChemEXPERT, ReproEXPERT, ListEXPERT, DrugEXPERT, and MSDSonline.
