China Connect From BCMS International, BvD Identifies Acquisition Opportunities

China Connect details transaction histories and acquisition opportunities in nonlisted Chinese companies. The data has been sourced through relationships and cooperation agreements with Chinese government departments, local equity exchanges, charitable foundations, professional service firms, and financiers. It is unique in that it comes directly from reliable sources on the ground in China who understand private Chinese businesses.

China Connect includes current information on a company’s business scope, where it is permitted to expand, the likelihood of an investment opportunity being open to foreign investors, and if such an investment is likely to be acceptable to the country’s regulatory authorities. It also includes information on the companies, such as the number of employees; listed patents and IP rights; quality standards; and products and services where these have been disclosed.

BvD’s (Bureau van Dijk’s) Zephyr software means users can search for, and analyze, both the historical deals and current opportunities.

Steve Anstey, general manager China, BCMS International, says, “Nowhere else can investors access in a single location the information provided in China Connect. If China is part of your growth strategy as a potential investment destination, then using this service could be vital to your success.”

Lisa Wright, head of M&A products at BvD, says, “We’re delighted to be working with BCMS International. The historical deals in China Connect complement the extensive deal data in our Zephyr database by adding to our intelligence on deals involving non-listed companies. China Connect is the latest significant addition to our M&A portfolio which includes the recent launches of our M&A Portal, Valuation Catalyst and our new version of Zephyr.”
