BrandDefense Offers Intellectual Property Protection Services

BrandDefense, a company founded in May 2002 and based in San Antonio, Texas, has announced its entrance into the intellectual property protection market. BrandDefense specializes in managing the process to copyright Web site content, locating unauthorized use of a company's assets online, and automatically generating notifications to have the infringements removed.

BrandDefense protects a variety of copyrighted and trademarked information—including names, slogans, images, marketing documents, and more. In addition, the company protects domain names and looks for instances of typosquatting (registering a similar domain name with a slight misspelling to get traffic), cybersquatting (registering a company name with the intent of selling it to its rightful owner), company slander, and information spread by disgruntled employees

As a subscription-based service, BrandDefense searches for infringements continuously, generating Red Flag Reports monthly, weekly, or even daily, depending on the needs of the client. All results are also hand-filtered by BrandDefense Examiners, to provide clients with only the most relevant matches.
