Autonomy ZANTAZ Announces Discovery and Legal Hold Software

ZANTAZ (www.zantaz.com), an Autonomy company in the archiving, eDiscovery, and Proactive Information Risk Management (IRM) market, announced Aungate Desktop Legal Hold, said to be the industry’s first automated solution that enables corporate legal and IT departments to remotely enforce legal hold across desktops and laptops.

Unlike other systems, Desktop Legal Hold resides locally on the machine and continuously applies retention policies while it intelligently understands the concepts of all information that passes across the machine. The system preserves and locks down in place information relevant to legal matters, dramatically reducing the legal risk of fines and sanctions associated with noncompliance to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) for eDiscovery.

Built on Autonomy’s Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL), Desktop Legal Hold provides automatic and ongoing preservation of information using the full array of keyword and Boolean rules, metadata, and conceptual search to uniquely cull down data volumes by intelligently identifying all types of information relevant to legal hold policies.
