African Press Organization Partners With Bloomberg for Media Distribution

The African Press Organization (APO) announced an agreement to make its press releases available on Bloomberg Terminal, Bloomberg’s financial information service. The APO is Africa’s leading press release wire and media relations organization that disseminates news through its Africa Wire service, which it distributes to more than 25,000 media contacts, bloggers, social networks, and to more than 50 African websites. Today, Bloomberg Terminal has more than 315,000 subscribers in 174 countries.

“This partnership will allow APO customers to reach Bloomberg Terminal users worldwide and inform them of new developments, investments and product launches done on the continent,” says Eloïne Barry, APO executive director.

The APO has standing partnerships with companies including LexisNexis, Dow Jones Factiva, Acquire Media, and ProQuest. Africa Wire users include DHL, Microsoft, MasterCard, Western Union, Hill+Knowlton Strategies, and Edelman.
